Music Is For Life

I can think of no better example than this video of my Aunt Sara, who at the age of 95, began seriously practicing the piano again after a lapse of a few decades.

Here she is playing beautifully before her 98th birthday. She currently practices an hour a day.

An important lesson for the upcoming generation of music lovers is to remember to always treasure their hearing. My Aunts generation was not subject to overamplified music, except possibly on rare ocassions. My Aunt never listened at loud volumes through ear phones.

It is very important to protect oneself from loud speakers so that the experience of music performance and appreciation will be part of life for numerous decades without the inteference of noise induced hearing loss.

I want to congratulate my great Aunt Sara on her phenomenal performance.
